Croft will be participating in Operation Christmas Child. Students will be sending shoeboxes to needy children in developing contries. Any donations can be placed in the lobby – objects or money - this week.Items to be donated can include: personal hygeine objects (brush, comb, toothbrush, soap, hair accessories etc), school supplies (picture books, pencils, pens, erasers, crayons etc), and toys/gifts (small stuffed animals, hard candy, tshirts, socks etc). Cash donations are also accepted to pay to send our shoeboxes and purchase missing items.

Croft Elementary Home & School, along with the Croft Drama Club, will present their second annual "Spooktacular" on October 28th and 29th in their Forest Classroom. Soccer 2011Croft 1 and Croft 2 faced off in a classic battle for Soccer Supremacy on Wednesday Oct. 19th. Both teams went undefeated during regular season play and the outcome of the Gold Medal Match Up was by no means a foregone conclusion. Croft 1 took the lead in the first half scoring two unanswered goals, however, Croft 2 rallied and tied the game up in the second half.

Thursday is Crazy Hat Day!  Bring $1.00 or more and wear your crazy hat all day long.  All money raised will go towards “Portrait of Honour” and our Canadian Fallen Troops. (http://www.portraitsofhonour.ca/)

The food bank has been given over 1000 food donations!  WAY TO GO!  Winning classes in K-2 were: 2 Dedam, 1 Hare and K Dickson.  3-5 class winners were: 5 Robichaud, 4 Matchett and 5 Green.  Classes have each won a pumpkin for their classroom, and 2 Dedam & 5 Robichaud won a pizza party.  Congratulations!

Croft’s Food Bank Challenge has kicked off!  Send non-perishable donations into Croft.  Classes are competing to bring in the largest number of items per student!!  The top three classes in K-2 and 3-5 will win a pumpkin to carve for their class AND the top class from K-2 and 3-5 will win a pizza party for their class.  Send in your items now!!
