Further to our Parent Information Bulletin this week, parents and students are reminded to check our website for our monthly newsletter. We hope this environmentally friendly approach to keeping everyone informed meets with your approval. For those families that do not have access to the internet at home, tradtional paper copies of the newsletter are available at the office.
Olympic Torch Relay – Miramichi - Final Details

As per our earlier website posting, this is follow up information pertaining to our school’s participation in the Olympic Torch Relay when it arrives in Miramichi this Friday.
Details:
K-3 Students – will depart Croft at 10:00 am and walk to Pleasant Street.
All K-3 parents are encouraged to participate in this activity with us.
On November 19th students at Croft Elementary will be producing a Christmas CD right here at our school. Parents can look forward to a wide variety of Christmas pieces on this new CD; including a mix of many traditional favorites. The finished version should be on sale the first week of December.
Special thanks to Mrs. Page, Mlle. Rousselle and Craig Duplessie for their efforts in the production of this CD. Merry Christmas one and all.
Winners of Draws at Croft's Scholastic Book Fair held Nov. 3/4/5 were: Molly M. (Mlle. Rousselle) ---------- $25/$25 in books Dylan H. Our school was informed last week that the second round of immunizations, for elementary aged children, will not occur after all. Health Canada has determined that the first round of vaccines will be sufficient for children aged 3-9 years.
Children under 3 will still need to get a second needle.
However, children in the 3-9 year age group with chronic health problems are still recommended to have the second shot. If this applies to your child please contact Public Health @ 778-6102.

Croft Elementary students and parents will get a once in a lifetime chance to celebrate the Olympics when the official symbol of the games arrives in Miramichi. The date for this event is set for Friday November 27th and all parents are welcome to come celebrate with us.
Students in K-3 will be walking to Pleasant Street, beginning at approx. 9:00 a.m., to view the torch as it enters our city. We expect that students will arrive back to Croft at approx. 10:30 a.m.

Here's the scoop, Croft is officially getting our new school web site off the ground this week. We are "very excited"!!!!
