Due to the gym being used for other activities, there will be no after school gym time available until after Christmas Holidays.  Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. All after school Sports will resume after the Holidays.
HersheyTrack and Field Meet                                                                                                     James M. Students in grades 3,4,5 will begin preparing for the upcoming District 16 Track and Field Meet on Tuesday June 22nd at the James M. Hill Track.  Each student will be registered in three events.  Parents are reminded that a packed lunch with plenty of water is needed on the day of the meet as students will be at the track from 9 - 2:30 pm.  The meet will NOT be rescheduled if it is cancelled due to weather.   Events include: 1.  100m Dash 2.  200m Dash 3.  50 m Hurdles 4.  1200m Endurance Run 5.  Javelin 6.  Long Jump/Standing Broad Jump 7.  Softball Throw 8.  Discus 9.  4x100m Relay 10.  Mixed Relay    Parents are more than welcome to attend!  Croft will be looking for parent volunteers to help out with various track and field events.  If you are interested please talk to Mr. Henderson or call the school at 627 4086.
The Croft floor hockey team will travel to Gretna Green on Tuesday May 4th to play in the championship game of the district floor hockey league.  Game time is 3:30.    Good luck to everyone!!!
Congratulations to the floor hockey team as they defeated Harkins Elementary in the semi final of the District floor hockey league!   Croft will now play the winner of the St. Andrew's/Gretna Green game.  NOTE change in final date: Tuesday May 4th 2010.
This is a notice to let all Croft students know that Mrs. Colleen Barry will be having the first practice for the District 16 Skipping team on Wednesday , April 14 at Gretna Green from 3:30 to 4:30.   Any student is more than welcome to come and learn new tricks and have lots of skipping fun. Colleen will be teaching short and long rope as well as double dutch!
The grade 5 floor hockey league will begin on Tuesday April 6th 2010.  Complete schedule is located in the "Documents Section" on this page.
Dear Parent(s),   Your child will be participating in a field trip to the Miramichi Curling Club on Friday morning March 26th 2010.    4 Hubbard Brown will curl from 8:45 – 9:50 am and 5 Aubry will curl from 9:50 – 11:00 am.   Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for the curling rink i.e. (layers, helmet, gloves or mittens).    Students must wear a helmet when participating!!       Parents are welcome to come and join their child curling at the Eco Centre which is located next to French Fort Cove.     Thank you and hope to see you on Friday!     Mme. This is a reminder to the grade 5 classes that they will going skiing at the Miramichi Ski Club Wednesday March 17th (5Mitchell) and Thursday March 18th (5Aubry). 1.  Students must bring a packed lunch with them as lunch will be on site. 2.  Parents are more than welcome to join their child skiing.  3.  Ski times for both days will run from approximately 10:30 am - 2:00 pm weather/conditions permitted.   Hope to see everyone on the trails!   Mr. Henderson
The next intramural sport will be "Blastball".  The blastball schedule will start the week of March 15th 2010.

Gym Floor Notice   A reminder to staff, students, and parents the gym floor was recently refinished therefore outdoor footwear is not permitted.    Students are asked to make sure they have a pair of indoor sneakers with non marking soles at school.

Students are reminded that they must bring both their indoor gym clothes and be prepared with outdoor clothing as classes will be either in the gym or outside.   Skiing, snowshoeing, and skating will be part of the PE program during the winter months.  It is very important that students dress appropriately for the outdoor weather. (Ski pants, hats, mits, and winter coat).   Thank You!!
