Posted: April 11, 2013

Who:               All students and staff will participate What:              “Walk and Talk ” will be a daily walking program whereby all students in our school will be afforded the opportunity to walk a designated route to music. This new program will serve as a “kick off” to our annual Go For 42 Mango Challenge. Where:            K-2 students will walk a circular route around the gym and the cafeteria (counter clockwise).                         Gr. 3-5 students will walk around the main classroom area (counter clockwise). When:             April 15th to April 26th (with the possibility of being extended) “Walk & Talk” will happen each day immediately following Oh Canada for approx. ten minutes (three songs). Why:               Provide students and staff with some much needed daily exercise and an opportunity to get their day off on the right foot. How:                Three or four songs will be played over our PA system immediately following the playing of “Oh Canada” each morning. Students will follow their designated route walking at their own steady pace with their friend(s). When the music ends, K-2 students will go to the gym and line up behind their teachers. Gr. 3-5 students will simply return to their homerooms. Let’s get moving everyone J   Mark Donovan, Principal                                            Krista Page, Vice-Principal
