The District 16 Education Council has begun the process to study the sustainabilty of Croft Elementary School, Gretna Green Elementary, Harkins Elementary School and Harkins Middle School and held its first public consultation meeting on April 25, 2012.  This is in accordance itht he Department of Education and Early Childhood Development Policy 409 - Multi-Year School Infrastruture Planning.

 

Your are invited to the second public consultation meeting to be held in the main theatre at Miramichi Valley High School on Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at 6:30

p. m.   Additional information will be shared and opportunity will be given for discussion with regard to this matter

All parents and family members are encouraged to join us on this day to skip, have fun and promote active living that leads to "healthier hearts".  Prizes will be awarded for the most enthusiastic parent/guardian skippers at each grade level.

The Miramichi Kinsmen and School District 16 are pleased to accept film entries for the second annual Kin Film Festival.  All School District 16 students are invited to participate.  Films can be submitted in one of two categories: Open and The Kinsmen Category (The Communities Greatest Need).  The top 10 films in each category will be screened on May 12th, 2012 at Miramichi Empire Studio 5.  Cash prizes of $500, $250 and $100 will be awarded for the winners in each category.
