H1N1 Vaccine - November 16th Update

Posted: November 13, 2009

Our school was informed last week that the second round of immunizations, for elementary aged children, will not occur after all. Health Canada has determined that the first round of vaccines will be sufficient for children aged 3-9 years. Children under 3 will still need to get a second needle. However, children in the 3-9 year age group with chronic health problems are still recommended to have the second shot. If this applies to your child please contact Public Health @ 778-6102. Please check your child's bookbag today for addtional information received from Ginette Pellerin, Director of Public Health, regarding the H1N1 flu vaccine.
