to advise all parents that our school will once again be participating in the
annual Terry Fox Walk at the above mentioned date & time. This date
coincides with the “National Terry Fox School Walk”.
You and your family are invited to join our
students and staff for this special event; one that has become a critical
national fund raiser in the fight against cancer.
Donations from
parents and the community will be accepted at the school all this week. Donations

Croft parents are encouraged to come out to our annual “Meet the Teacher Night”
this Thursday.
This
event is intended for parents only.
The
agenda for the evening is as follows:
6:00 Assembly in the gym for all parents.
6:15 Meet the
Teacher Sessions – All parents proceed to your child’s homeroom.
Note: At
6:35 a bell will sound to end the first parent session. A repeat session for
parents will begin at this time for those parents who have more than one child
attending our school.
Our
Congratulations to the four students that won some fishing gear and accessories as part of our three week Bass Fishing Derby. In the K-2 category Zachary MacDonald won the fishing/camping chair while Reese Vickers won the grand prize of a fishing rod, tackle box and tackle. In the Gr. 3-5 category Cohen Stade won the fishing/camping chair and Zesha Brooks won the grand prize.What a great group of fishermen and fisherwomen we have at Croft ;-)
Some lucky Croft students had the opportunity to watch some former NHL stars on May 31st in Moncton. NHL Alumni were playing in a charity game in support of the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Pictured here are Tye and Kylan with former Leafs great Al Iafrate. Back in the day Iafrate was known for having the "hardest slapshot" in the NHL.
The ASD-N Spelling Bee was hosted at our school on Friday May 29th. A total of nine elementary schools participated including Croft, Gretna Green, NSEE, Blackville, Harkins, Tabusintac, Millerton, Nelson and Eel Ground. Croft students took home first place honors in both the Grade 1 and Grade 2 categories. Congratulations to both Ronan and Avery on their impressive wins. Croft Archers had a very successful tournament on Friday May 22nd. A total of 36 archers participated in our Gr. 4 & 5 competition resulting in the following winners: Gr. 4 3rd Place - Ava Bryenton, Gr. 4 2nd Place - Connor Sheasgreen, Gr. 4 1st Place - Patrick Stewart, Gr. 5 1st Place - Braeden Martin. In addition two of our archers scored 30 (a perfect score) in one of their rounds - Patrick Stewart and Braeden Martin.Way to go boys and girls! We are all very proud of you!
All parents and friends are informed that our Flower Basket Orders from Scott's Nursery will be available for pick up this Wednesday May 27th from 12 noon until 6:00 pm. Thank you one and all for supporting our annual trip to Mount Carleton.
