Week of April 18th-22nd

Easter is almost here....  We will be having a special Easter egg hunt in our forest classroom on Thursday!! Think Green!!  Earth day is on Friday. Remember to practice your sight words, and do your best reading each night! Show and tell this week with letter Ff Have a great week and a Happy Easter!

April11- 15th

Homework: Please be sure to do reading and sight word work this week. Please see homework sheet for small assignments. Special Notes: -MVHS music students have started to come to our classroom twice a week, to work with the children.  The children look forward to Kelsey's visits, and they are learning lots of new songs, and music concepts!! -Show and tell this week- Letter Ee- Please bring in something on Friday, beginning with the letter Ee. -Congratulations to William and Emma.  They represented Kindergarten students from Croft at the District Spelling Bee, and they did and amazing job.  We are proud of you!!! Have a great week!

March is here!!

  Spelling Bee- We will have a spelling bee in our classroom this week (Thursday).  Keep studying :) No Homework over the March Break- but please practice reading and writing when you can!

Week of February 7th

Mrs. Wilson was sick Monday, so the homework sheet will be sent home today (Tuesday). Remeber to read and go over sight words each night :) Please send out Family Fun Night forms and send them back.

January 20th- Skating!!!

Everyone had a great time skating today!  Mr. Nastasiuk really appreciated all the help form parents and hopes to see you all next time :) Note:  Please let me know if you are having any difficulty with the levelled reading books sent home this week!

December 8th-12th

Mrs. Wilson's little elves are busy making crafts to sell, at our Literacy Night!  This takes place on Thursday evening.  Be sure to mark it on your calendar, as you will want to buy these handmade treasures!! Homework:  Letters of the week: V and W                    Number: 8                    Don't forget to go over reading and sight words!!    Have a great week!!!

WEEK SEPTEMBER 27-OCTOBER1

HOMEWORK: Reading New sight words for the week it, is. Nightly activity in homework book.   APPLE FARM- We are going on a field trip to the apple farm Monday, October 4th.  Parents are invited to come to McAllister's apple farm, but unfortunately they will have to meet us there, as there is no room on the bus.  The cost is $4.00 for both parents and children.  Please have money for children in by this Thursday:)

Week of June 7th -11th

Field Trip to King's Landing!! Our trip is on Wednesday!  Please make arrangements to be at the school to pick up your child by 4:15pm.  I am sending home a detailed note with all important info.   Please have all Scholatistic orders in by Thursday :)   Don't forget to go over Reading and Sight Words!!

Week of May 10th-14

                           No new news for this week!!   Reading and sight words are important!                                We are planning our end of the year field trip to King's Landing.  We are really excited and we hope this will be possible.  We will have to do a bit of fund raising over the next few weeks.  Stay tuned!!

Week of May 3-7th

    A BIG THANK YOU TO THE PARENTS WHO SENT IN PICS!!     Special Mother's Day cebration on Wednesday at 8:30 am.  It should only be 45 mins. (no more than an hour)!     New sight words sent this week, but only one book due to the children not having classes on Thursday and Friday.

Denmark Takes First and Second Place in Snowshoeing!!

Congratulations to Brody Hallihan, Landon Stewart!!  They took home the gold and silver medals for Denmark, in Snowshoeing!!  A big congratulations to all my Danish athletes, as they all put forth their best effort.  Way to go!!  Don't forget, everyone that participates and demonstrates the 'true spirit of the olypics' will receive their own Croft Olympic Medal.  Just a note about tomorrow's competition... instead of sock skating in the gym, we will be having a 'boot race' on the soccer field.  Good luck to all of Mrs. Wilson's Olympians!
