Croft Elementary is very proud of one of our own! Madalyn, in Gr. 3L, won first place in the Legion's Annual Black and White Poster Contest held last fall. Madalyn won first place in the Miramichi area and then advanced to win first at the provincial level. Pictured here is Madalyn along with her teacher Mme. LeGresley and Legion member Gerald Mullin. Madalyn's poster will now move on to the National Level competition with judging to be held in Ottawa later this spring. Way to go Maddy, we are all so very proud of you!!!
For parents of grade 5 students who have signed up to help with fundraising for the Mount Carleton trip, there will be a meeting Thursday, February 6th, 6:30pm at Croft. This will be to discuss ideas and to make arrangements for fundraising events. Please call Thea at 627-6505 or Cindi at 210-0346 if you have any questions. Thanks!
To all parents of Croft Elementary: in an effort to help the Grade 5 students achieve their year-end trip to Mount Carleton, we've opened an account at Doran's Recycling. Starting today, when you drop your bottles off, you can donate your refund to help us! We thank you in advance. From the Mount Carleton Fund Raising Committee.
Tomorrow (Friday, January 31st) is PINK SHIRT DAY at Croft. This is our way of saying no to bullying. Wear your pink shirt in support of Anti-Bullying.

Tips for Keeping Snacks Safe
Always wash hands before preparing or eating a snack. This is the one of best ways to prevent food spoilage and contamination. Wash all fruits and veggies under cold running water.
Clean all lunch boxes, thermal bags, plastic utensils and containers in hot soapy water. DO NOT re-use plastic wrapping and bags.
Keep foods cold
-Yogurt, deli meats and cheese should be kept cold.
-Be sure to keep lunches in the fridge until the morning and include an ice pack or frozen juice pack when sending lunches to school.
