School students in the Miramichi region are once again being offered free admission to four classical music concerts scheduled during this school year. The concerts feature young professional Canadian musicians who are highly trained and often have international experience. This season’s series includes a clarinet and piano duo (September 23), Mozart’s opera Cosi Fan Tutte (November 17), a woodwind quartet (February 19) and a guitar trio (April 12) These concerts are organized by Jeunesses Musicales Canada – Miramichi and are held at Carrefour Beausoleil starting at 7:30 p.m.
Parents are advised that the first day of school for students in Grades 1-5 is Wednesday, September 5th. Kindergarten students should adhere to the staggered entry schedule that was mailed out the end of June. Our day begins at 8:30 a. m. See you then!!
We have been advised by the district that the last day for students will be Thursday, June 21st and NOT Friday, June 22nd as previously indicated. June 21st will be a full day of classes for the students.
Come one come all to what is sure to be one of the largest "Yard Sales" on the Miramichi this spring on Saturday May 26th at Croft (8 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.). All funds raised will go towards our year end camping trip to Mount Carleton Provincial Park.
This is also an excellent oppportunity for all Croft families and friends to clear out any "gently used" items and donate them to our yard sale. Items may be dropped off at our school at any time all this week.
Thank you for your support and "Happy Yard Sale-ing"!!!
A fun-filled day of skipping was held on Friday May 18th as part of our Jump Rope For Heart Fund Raiser. Over $ 3,600.00 (three thousand six hundred dollars) was raised for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Special thanks to the students, parents, family members and community for your tremendous support.
Croft truly is a most caring and generous school. Way to go everyone!!!!
