The Croft Rink should be up and running by next week. Our rink is reserved for school use, Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.   Tentative plans for using the rink are as follows:     1) P.E. Classes – Mrs. Barry, Mr. Donovan and classroom teachers are presently setting up a skating schedule for all Physical Education classes. This schedule will be distributed to parents by the end of next week and skating during gym classes will then begin. Stay tuned…   Homeroom teachers may also be scheduling special skating times with their classrooms.

Basketball Season is now in full swing! Following are the practise times for our Gr. 4/5 Boys and Girls Teams:   Mondays 3:15 - 4:30   Mrs. Mahoney's Girls Team Mondays 5:00 - 6:00   Mrs. Waye's Girls Team Tuesdays 3:15 - 4:15  Mrs. Barry's Boys Team   Games with other schools (Interscholastic Play) will also be scheduled with other schools throughout the BB Season. Just a reminder that Pink Shirt Day is happening at our school tomorrow, Friday Dec. 21st. This is in support of our year long anti-bullying campaign. We are looking forward to seeing lots of pink at Croft tomorrow.

  Friday, December 21st will be the last day for students  before Christmas holidays.  This will be a full day of classes for students.   Wednesday, January 9, 2013 will be the first day back for students after Christmas holidays.  Monday,  January 7th and Tuesday, January 8th are Professional Learning Days in the district.     Merry Christmas and Happy  New Year  From All The Staff and Students at Croft Elementary

Over the last two months, the busy hair stylists of HIGHLITE HAIR SALON have been working like elves. They put together a Gift Basket full of beautiful products and graciously sold tickets to their clients andcustomers.  The owner of HIGHLITE HAIR donated the items in the basket and is giving100% of the  proceeds to CROFT HOME and SCHOOL to benefit all our students.  They raised $386.00!!   The winner of this basket was Phyllis Preston, so Congratulations to her.  On behalf of Croft students, staff and Home and School members we extend a GREAT BIG thank you.

The Croft Home and School Association would like to inform parents that during our Christmas Concert next Tuesday, we will be holding a Cake Auction. Some delicious delicacies will be prepared by local businesses as well as by some excellent local bakers. They will also be selling 50-50 tickets in the lobby on this date. All funds raised will go towards supporting the many worthwhile activities sponsored by our Home and School. Thank you in advance for your support.
