With Remembrance Day just around the corner, our thoughts turn to our Canadian Forces and the tremendous sacrifce they make each and every day for our country.
As a symbol of support for our troops, we encourage everyone to wear red this Friday November 2nd. A sincere thank you is extended to the men and women of our Canadian Military, past and present, who help keep us safe and guarantee our many freedoms.
Congrats to both Croft 1 and Croft 2 for some excellent soccer action at last week-end's jamboree. Special congrats going out to Croft 1 who took home the silver medal!!
Also, special thanks goes out to our two coaches, Colleen Barry and Charlene Coull-Savard, for their dedication throughout the soccer season.
We are all very proud of the hard work and sportsmanship displayed by our boys and girls this year. Two thumbs way up!!!!

Re: Halloween Activities
Please note that on Wednesday October 31st a number of fun activities are planned for our students. This will include games in our Haunted Gym, a Drama Club production, Haunted Classrooms and a Halloween Spirit Contest sponsored by our Home & School.
All staff and students are encouraged to join in on the fun by coming dressed up on this day.

Croft Elementary School’s Breakfast Program
***Donations of Time and Cereal Now Being Accepted***
This is to advise all parents and friends of Croft Elementary that, for several different reasons, the budget for this year’s Breakfast Program has now been exhausted.
However, since so many of our children have come to depend upon and benefit from having breakfast at our school, we hope to keep this important program alive in the following two ways:
1. Volunteers to help supervise the program!

The soccer jamboree that was cancelled last Saturday, due to the heavy rain, has been re-scheduled to Saturday October 27th. Please note the following schedule:

In an effort to keep bullying discussions foremost in our classrooms throughout the school year, one day each month will be designated as Anti-Bullying Day at Croft. All staff and students are encouraged to wear "pink" on this day in support of our anti bullying campaign.
Thursday, Sept 27th @8:45am will be our hair cutting event at Croft!
Buy a ticket and get a chance to cut off a teacher's ponytail!! Tickets will be on sale Monday-Wednesday of this week during lunch for $1.00 each. All money is going to the Terry Fox Foundation and her ponytail is being donated to make a wig for cancer patients. One lucky student will get to cut her ponytail off!
