The province of New Brunswick is currently providing training for schools with a teaching model called the Universal Design for Learning (U.D.L.).
As part of this training, teachers will be completing surveys on each child to determine specific interests and learning styles. This will assist with teacher lesson planning and capitalize on your child’s areas of strengths and interests.
Congrats to our dedicated group of parent volunteers for yet another successful Book Fair. We sold 370 books in total and lots of great resources were also purchased for our classrooms. Special thanks going out to the following super parents and grandparents: Ginette Johnson (Samuel's mom), Belinda Shaddick (Owen and Jared's mom), Rachel Manderville (Jorja's mom), Crystal Falconer (Alexis' mom), Lois Raymond (George's grandmother) and Betty Clancy (Brody's grandmother). Thanks to you folks our students will have many hours of fun-filled reading. You are the most "Awesome-ist" ever!!!!
Parent-Teacher Interviews at Croft will be scheduled on Thursday,

It is important to note that the dates set aside for Parent -Teacher Interviews are important. Parents should endeavor to meet with teachers during these prescribed times.
If “extenuating circumstances” prevent you from attending Parent-Teacher Interviews on the dates noted above, please contact your child’s teacher for alternate arrangements.
A sincere thank you to all parents for providing our school with valuable feedback via the "Parent Surveys" that were sent home recently. Overall, we had a school wide return rate of 84.4 % within our school. This is very impressive given the fact that many schools in the province experience a return of less than 40 %. In addition, four classrooms reported one hundred percent surveys completed. Congratulations to Kindergarten Russell, 1 Hare, 2 Dedam and 5 Aubry!!!!! Enjoy your Pizza Delight Pizza Party.
The Mount Carelton Fund Raising Committee has informed us that we have a winner for our Mount Carleton Lotto. Congrats goes out to Darren Shaddick, the lucky winner. Total Prize Amount $ 1,045.00. Stay tuned for future fund raising activities that will help support our annual camping trip to Mount Carleton Provincial Park.
A sincere thank you to all parents that sent in surveys today. Overall, a very high percentage have been received thus far by teachers - awesome!!! We recognize, however, that due to student absenteeism, family commitments, etc. that more time may be needed by some families to complete this task. Therefore we will continue to accept Parent Surveys until next Wednesday March 20th. In the event that there is more than one class with a 100 % return rate a draw will be made to determine what class receives the Pizza Party. Thank you parents for providing our school with some very valuable input.
All parents are asked to check their child’s book bag tonight for the annual Parent Survey.
We ask that you take a few minutes of your time to complete this survey tonight.
Completed surveys are to be sent back to school by Friday March 15th.
The class with the highest percentage of surveys returned will win a pizza party.
Important Note:
If you have more than one child in our school we ask that you complete and return only one survey. The teaching staff will ensure that siblings in different classes will receive credit for the one returned survey per family.
On Friday March 15, 2013 we will be having some Irish fun with St. Paddy’s Day at our school.
