Today we got to meet a national gold medal winner for snowboarding.  Her name was Alex.  She is currently waiting to hear if she will be on the 2010 Canadian Olympic team.  Jacob liked the snowboarding video she showed us.  Austin, Josh, Hanna, Sophie, Braden and Assweni thought it was cool!  Makayla and Hendrik thought it was awesome! Liam said it was extremely awesome!  Alex and Claire thought it was amazing!  Ashton, Olivia and Emma said it was super and Nora thought it was extraordinary!  It was all of these things and a wonderful opportunity for the children to see what determination and hard work can accomplish.

I can't believe it is the middle of November already. This week we are focusing on the "ng" sound and writing complete sentences.  We also introduced the r-controlled vowel sounds today. In math, we continue to work on representing our numbers from 11-20 and have introduced addition and subtraction by identifying one less, two more, etc. Have a great week.
