We had five butterflies when we arrived this morning and we are already up to 8. We can't wait to see how many butterflies we have on Monday! Stay tuned!!

We arrived to our first butterfly this morning and by lunch time the second one had emerged from it's chrysalis. They are not very active yet. They are still staying fairly still waiting for their wings to harden. What a big day!!

The caterpillars are getting bigger. We have four chrysalises and counting.

We have been following the life of 25 caterpillars in grade 1. Over the past week they have been eating mightly and getting much bigger but none have made their chrysalis yet. We'll keep you posted!

The children had a wonderful time meeting the seniors today. The children read them a poem, asked them some questions and gave them a craft they had made at school. The children were able to meet with several seniors besides their assigned "grandparent" and they also got to sing them their song...
