As the year winds down and comes to a close, I would like to extend a warm thank you to my students and parents for a great year. I enjoyed working with my former students again and getting to know my new ones. We had a busy year filled with work and fun. I hope that all my students enjoyed their experience in Grade 4. Have a safe and fun summer everyone! And don't forget to find a little bit of time for some reading and writing during your break;)

Our last big event this year is the Track and field day at JMH. We leave early Tuesday morning and will return for the 3pm dismissal. Please come prepared with lots of water, a good lunch, appropriate clothing(especially if it rains) and comfortable running shoes. It promises to be a fun day.

We had a wonderful day at the Village. I just wanted to thank the boys and girls for their cooperation and their best behavior during the day. They were so excited and interested in what they saw. They asked lots of questions and were very polite. A special thank you to my boys for hanging out with me all day. I got lots of fun pics that I'll share later this week.

It' finally here! We are heading out for our historique adventure tomorrow morning at 8:30 sharp! Dress in layers and bring lots of yummy snacks and a good lunch. There is lots of walking to do, so make sure you wear comfortable footwear.      There are snack bars on site and a gift shop. If time permits, students will be allowed to purchase items during the day. Students may bring technology to entertain themselves on the bus. Please note that teachers and supervisors are not responsible for lost or damaged items during the trip. Students will be expected to carry their bookbags during the day, so please only pack necessary items.      Unfortunately, there is no room on the bus for extra passengers. However, if parents wish to join us they can neet us at the Village at approx. 10am. I would love to divide the class down and assign a couple of kids per parent. This would make the visit a little more pleasant rather than try to travel in a group of 20. So, we would love to have you!

Quick recall will improve their Math      performance.)  The next few weeksPosted May 8, 2011    For the next few weeks, the class will be preparing for provincial and district assessments. We are working hard going over concepts and strategies that will help them succeed in all the assessed areas. We are also entering a very difficult time of year for students to focus on academics. It is very important that the students get proper rest so they are ready to learn and perform their best. Many students have been over tired lately and having difficulty focusing. A regular bedtime should help with this.
