On Friday May 21, our class will be having a fairy tale ball. The children can dress up as their favorite fairy tale character or wear a fancy outfit. If they want to bring their custome to school there will be time provided at lunch for them to change. The children will be reading their fariy tales during this time. Any student who does not finsh their good copy will be bringing it home to finsh Thursday night. We look forward to see all our princes and princesses at the ball.

Review math facts 0-12
The children have been retested on their sight word sheet and everyone made great improvement. If there are any words that they need to practice, they have been sent home tonight. If no words came home, your child has mastered the list.

Just a reminder that the Primary Choir and the whole school will be performing at the music festival tomorrow. The primary choir is asked to wear bright colors and everyone dress as a pirate(ie.bandana) for the whole school performance.

This Friday, we will be having a short review in class of the children's math facts from 0-10. This will be a weekly event to help the kids work on their facts and see how they are progressing.

Day six of the Croft Olympics saw Sweden take a sweep of the medals. Bronze was won by Spohie J., Silver was won by Josh A. and Gold was won by Jacob T. Way to go, Sweden!
Tomorrow we will be playing boot hockey for Day 7. This is a non-medal event. Children are asked to please remember their helmets if they are participating in this event.

We are into the final week before the March Break and boy are the kids excited. Things are very busy here at school as I'm sure they are at home as well. The sight words that were sent home tonight will be what we are concentrating on for the next month or so. The children are not expected to know all of these words by the end of the week, so not to worry.

Just a quick reminder that the Spped Skating event is at the Civic Center tomorrow morning. Don't forget your skates and helmet.

Due to poor ice conditions on the outdoor rink, the Speed Skating event will be held at the Civic Center on thursday, Feb. 18th. Don't forget to to bring your skates and helmets if you are in this event.
The Bobsled event will now be held on Wednesday, Feb. 17th.
