For the last couple of weeks, we have been discussing A + work. We looked at different pieces of work and assignments and talked about what makes it A + work. We also looked at projects that was missing information and talked about how we could make it  A+ work. As a follow up, we put a bright pink reminder in the Homework binder. Students should use this reminder to complete all their work as this will help them get the mark they deserve:)

This week for homework, the children were asked to create a cartoon strip that depicts the book they are reading. There are six squares and speech bubbles to fill in on the worksheet. Each square should represent a part or chapter in the book they are currently reading at home. The squares should also be done in sequence to match the events in the story.         We have received a couple of toy items to display during the Heritage Fair but we are in need of lots more. Please ask around to family members that may be willing to lend them to us. Thanks for your help.

For home this week, the children were given game ideas that they can play with members of their family. They were also given some web links that have fun math games that build these skills. Your child should pick one of these activities and spend approximately 10 mins on this part of their homework per night. Have fun!
