Music Festival Final Concert

We are so excited to be singing in the Music Festival this year. Please make every effort to get your child at JMH on Friday. You can refer to to the purple notice sent home today for further details. Your child can practice the songs by clicking the appropriate song on the bottom right on this page.

Music Festival

Our class is participating in the Music Festival this year. We are singing 2 songs in a school-wide performance this Wednesday, Aril 14th. Please check the Croft Home Page for times of performances. They are asking the children to dress up as a pirate if they can.

Homework for the week of April 12th

1. Word Work - Monday: Copy words 3 times each                        Tuesday: Write sentences for words #1-5                        Wednesday: Write sentences for words # 6-10                        Thursday: Study words for test2. Math practice - Addition and subtraction sheet: Do a little bit each night3. Read 15 mins. * As always, Homework is due on Friday, so if you have a particular night that is busy, you can catch up another night.* Please remember that writing work should take no longer than 20 mins of consistent work. If this is a problem, please let me know.

An update on our Homework Policy

Upon reviewing our new Homework policy and in consultation with parents, the staff has decided to reintroduce the writing component to Homework routine. Therefore, next week your child will be asked to copy their "no excuse words" and write sentences for each word. A reminder note will be sent home next Monday. We thank you for your patience as we continue to stucture the best homework practice for your child.

Book fair visit

Our class is scheduled to visit the book fair from 8:45-9:15 on Wednesday morning. Students who are interested in purchasing books may bring money with them.

Olympic Closing Ceremony

 Our Olympic wrap-up took place today with our official closing. Korea was well represented and earned a pizza party for collecting the most medal points for K-2. Congrats guys! Our pizza party will be in the near future...stay tuned.
